Privacy Policy

FunSEO is designed to be privacy-first. We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the service:

• URLs you submit for scanning. When you enter a URL, it is sent to our server to perform the SEO analysis. This URL is processed in real time and is not stored in any database after the scan completes.
• Locale preference cookie. We store a single cookie named locale (value: en or zh-TW) to remember your language preference. This cookie does not contain any personal information and is not used for tracking.
• Standard server logs. Like all web servers, our host may retain basic request logs (IP address, timestamp, request path) for operational and security purposes. These logs are managed by our hosting provider and are not used for marketing or analytics.

• We do not require account registration or collect names, email addresses, or passwords.
• We do not store scan results after they are returned to your browser.
• We do not use social media pixels (such as Facebook Pixel) or cross-site behavioral profiling.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personally identifiable information with third parties for marketing purposes.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data.

When you submit a URL, FunSEO uses it solely to perform the requested SEO analysis:

• We fetch the publicly available HTML of the page using an automated HTTP request.
• We analyze the HTML content for SEO signals (meta tags, headings, images, links, structured data, etc.).
• We forward the URL to the Google PageSpeed Insights API to obtain performance metrics. This means Google will also receive your submitted URL as part of this request. Please refer to Google's Terms of Service for how they handle this data.
• The URL and scan results are held in server memory only for the duration of the request (up to 60 seconds) and a brief in-memory cache of up to 5 minutes. No data is written to any persistent storage.

We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) on this site, through which Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data and Google AdSense may serve advertisements. These services may set additional cookies on your device for analytics and advertising purposes. You can control or delete all cookies through your browser settings at any time.

FunSEO does not use any persistent database. All data is handled exclusively in server memory and is subject to the following retention periods:

• Scan result cache: automatically cleared after 5 minutes
• Rate limit records: automatically expire after 60 seconds per IP
• Active scan requests: processed within 60 seconds and discarded immediately upon completion
• No scan results, URLs, or user data is ever written to disk or a database
• All in-memory data is permanently cleared when the server restarts

FunSEO uses the following third-party services:

• Google Tag Manager (GTM) — a tag management platform used to load and manage all third-party scripts on this site, including Google Analytics and Google AdSense. GTM itself does not collect personal data but facilitates the services listed below. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google PageSpeed Insights API — used to fetch performance metrics for submitted URLs. URLs you scan are sent to Google as part of this API call. Google may log these requests according to their own privacy policies.
• Google Analytics — collects anonymized traffic and usage data to help us understand how visitors interact with FunSEO (pages visited, session duration, etc.). Loaded via GTM. Google may set analytics cookies. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.
• Google AdSense / Google Ads — may display advertisements on this site. Loaded via GTM. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at https://www.google.com/settings/ads.

All traffic to FunSEO is served over HTTPS. We do not store personal data, so there is no personal data at risk of breach. Scan requests are processed in isolated server memory and discarded after completion.

FunSEO is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of FunSEO after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
